The objective of the Starling Class is for all sails and spars to be identical.
Therefore, our commitment is to reproduce identical Starling sails.

All Starling sails from our loft are produced on a Laser Plotter / Cutter for high-end accuracy.

The dimensions of the Starling sail are:

• Luff is 4040mm long.
• For people fitting fixed goosenecks, we recommend you allow 4025mm from the top of the boom to the top of the sail. This 15mm shorter than the actual length of the sail but please remember that the shockcord boltrope in the luff of the sail is under tension and will take up the difference. This allows the sail to "bag up" a bit in the lighter airs and the difference is quickly taken up with the cunningham control when the wind freshens.
• The Foot is 2115mm long. If you are making a new boom, please allow for the foot to stretch out to 2125mm
• The Leech is 4370mm long
