Windfoil definitely has had break through! More and more Windsurfers are enjoy the "taking off" and flying above the water.

Flying full speed at 6 knots means more sailing days, and besides just having fun, there are many competitions throughout the year you can join.

TAKE OFF WITH OUR PURE WINDFOIL AND WIN!

Having spent hours and hours testing many different foil shapes, we learned that our regular windsurf shapes are the "all in one shapes" for recreational windsurf and Windfoil and only for the competition a special shape is needed.

Looking into the competition foiling the facts are simply that the 1mt wide Formula boards are the way to go.

Though forced to follow different rules, we also developed a 91cm wide shape for foil only!

Knowing that the 1mt wide Formula is so far the best foiling shape. We took the easy way and simply cut it down to a 91cm parallel outline and the result was truly amazing.

The huge square rails do not just look big but they are probably the biggest on the market and so are the advantages.

It is obvious that this big rail has a lot of floats and the water can not really suck onto the deck when dropping from flight mode and the relaunch into the air is probably unbeatable.

SHAPE DETAILS

Scoop-Rocker-Line

The Formula Windsurf curve is just the way to go and the low curve is especially performing in early planning.

Outline

The Formula windsurf nose and tail is especially proven for early planning. The 91cm wide parallel outline has the least drag when dropping from flight position and the straight rails cut straight through the water.

Bottom-Shape

From the nose to the front foot a lot of V shape with a slight double concave and side flats touches the water later when upwind railing the board and absorbs the impact a lot when dropping from flight position.

Inserts

We have put 8 positions options in the front and in the back so you can adjust your stance depending on the foil you are using.

Deck-Shape

A simple flat deck for an easy standing platform.

Rail-Shape

Big square rails for most flotation when dropping from flight position. At the same time it neutrals the headwind and makes the control easier also in stronger winds.

Tail Cutouts

Big cutouts reduce the wetted surface and make the tail sink easier which changes the angle of attack from the front wing to get an early lift. When dropping from flight position the tail can be easily pushed into the water to get back up again.

Rail Cutouts

The rail cutout also reduces the wetted surface and give the bottom outline some curve for better planning and acceleration.

CONSTRUCTION

To reduce torsion and flex in the air hanging just on the foil mast it is built as stiff as possible – full Carbon deck & bottom.

The already 34th long distance Lancelin Ocean Classic race 2019 has finished and the Patrik Windsurf International team took two of the top 3 places!!!

Patrik Diethelm is still on fire! In a close battle with the current number two in the World Matteo Iachino Ita-140 he finished 2nd. While another super performance of Bastien Escofet with a 3rd.

Karin Jaggi impressed with a 9th place in the overall out of 145 competitors to finish as a first woman!!

To close another great result of the flying PATRIK family is the 2nd place of Alexander Strub in the Master category!!
