I quit almost 8 mhotns ago and did it cold turkey. That is the best way to do it you need to get the nicotine out of your body. Drink lots of water and juices and after 72 hours the nicotine is gone. Then it is just a matter of being strong mentally to not smoke. Nicotine Replacements like gum, patch, etc. only prolong getting the nicotine out of your body.
